As mills have historically been located near water drops, the activity has naturally led SERA to develop autonomous hydro-electric energy generation systems.

The power output of the micro-power stations installed by SERA is in the 1 to 2 MW range, and they include command & control, remote maintenance & surveillance, process and coupling.
